What should I bring?
There is nothing in particular you need to bring apart from yourself and a sincere desire to be relaxed.
Do I have to take my clothes off?
Clients may disrobe to their comfort level. Some may remove only their shoes, belt and jewelry. Others may remove all clothing entirely. Keep in mind that clothing will somewhat limit the number of massage techniques that can be practiced and may also restrict effective access to body parts needing attention. Clients are draped (covered) with a sheet with only the part of the body being massaged at that moment exposed unless no draping is specifically requested in writing.

Will my massage hurt?
Every individual has their own pain threshold, but, in general, massages should not hurt. It is normal and expected for sore muscles to be, well, sore. However, massages should not cause intense pain or discomfort. The body’s natural reaction to intense pain is for the surrounding muscles to tense up and attempt to pull away from the source of discomfort. This is counter-productive to therapeutic massage. The axiom “no pain, no gain” does not apply here.
